Friday September 20 - Sunday September 23, 2002
Isis Oasis Geyserville,
CA
Please note change of venue! |
| |
| This workshop is built around the images of The
Black Isis (Nephthys, Kali, The Black Madonnas, Persephone, Hecate, the
Primal Earth Mother, the Dark of the Moon) and the White Isis (Isis, Mary,
Diana, Aphrodite, Sarasvati, the Full Moon). Both aspects will be an actual
part of the temple with the dividing line representing the manifested world.
One rises to the White Isis and descends to her black counterpart. Do not
confuse black with unworthy or evil. Without darkness we cannot see the
stars, it is dark within the earth just before the spring seeds come into
view, it is dark within the womb before birth into light.
Both these aspects of womanhood are important, vital to our spiritual
growth, and not just for women, but also for men. In this temple you will
learn the secrets of your innermost longings and fears. It will not be
easy to face either of them. You will be wearing robes from Friday evening
until Sunday mid-morning so bring two, one black, one white, with soft
slippers. |

| This is not a workshop for the fainthearted,
it will show up much of what you have kept hidden even from yourself.
In many ways it will be painful and will certainly have repercussions
for several weeks after. This is not an airy-fairy sit and listen and
feel good workshop. It will demand a lot from you; it is, in every sense
of the word a training seminar for the soul. We dare you to attend!

ACCOMMODATIONS |
Isis Oasis is a magical sanctuary
in the wine country where vines and the flowing river blend harmoniously
to create colorful imagery through-out the seasons. Once a Pomo
Indian ceremonial ground, then a Bahai' School whose principle philosophy
is global unity, it is now a sanctuary that provides an extraordinary
environment for body, mind and spirit. Ten acres of lush foliage
include a 500-year-old fir tree as a centerpiece, a swan pond, waterfalls,
an aviary of exotic birds, animals and endangered felines.
A sauna, sparkling pool and spa set within a secluded garden enhance
your special time of rest and relaxation. Their meditation temple
will add a sense of the sacred
during your visit.
Delicious and nutritious meals will be provided from Friday dinner
through Sunday lunch at the dining hall. Vegetarian options will
be served at each meal.
